This week we are welcoming Connie back to our little group of hand quilters. What a nice way to start the new year.
I haven't been getting all that much stitched on the table topper. I work on it sometimes when I am visiting my mother. This is where I was on the last update.
This HQAL is an opportunity for hand quilters to share and motivate each other. The talented quilters below post every three weeks to show our progress and encourage one another. Stop by their sites to see what they are working on. If you have a hand project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.
Kathy, Margaret, Deb, Nanette,
Thanks for stopping by!
Very pretty! I always had trouble getting the tape to stick to fabric but apparently it works for you. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteLooking beautiful, Cathie! Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the welcome shout out! I'm glad to be back. I love your quilting! Your stitches are so tiny and even.
ReplyDeleteI don't think my stitches are all that tiny, but I am trying to make them even. Thanks for visiting.
Delete(Little Penpen) love that quilting design! Beautiful!

That medallion is beautifully stitched... love it!
ReplyDeleteLooking good!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, that 1/4 seam tape sound to be a great helper. Happy quilting/stitching, Cathie!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilting~
ReplyDeleteHi Cathie: Nice progress, what a great idea to use the tape as a guide, I may have to use that on a few projects myself.
ReplyDeleteThank-you for the tip.
Catherine
I love when I learn something and I did reading your post. You use 1/4 in tape to mark your lines....it simply never occurred to me thats how I could get straight quilting lines :) The medallion middle looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy mom and I have always used this tape. I don't know how I learned about it, but I find it works well. My mother had a brand new package of it in her supplies so that is what I am using. I found I can also use some of the pieces multiple times.
DeleteI am reminded again just how pretty this design is. Happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hand stitching!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteVery nice quilting, and what a great idea with the quilting tape to get straight lines.
DeleteMy mother and I have used that tape for quite some time. I don't know how we found out about it.
DeleteThat looks like an easy way to keep a straight line. you are doing great Cathie!
ReplyDeletebeautiful! so nice that you have crafts to take when you're with your mom!
