Stitch-a-Long

It's time for me to share my progress on Three Boats with everyone.
Three weeks ago I joined this SAL and showed the meager beginnings of this large piece....all black.
I have added another 100+ stitches and finally have a little bit of color.

You can find out more about this Stitch-a-long hosted by Avis at Sewing Beside the Sea. Please visit the other participants below and see what wonderful projects they are working on.

I am also joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching. Pop on over to her site to see what other bloggers are stitching. I think I will add some stitches to Three Boats today.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Great progress, especially when it's all dark colours! It always amazes me just how many stitches there are in even a small piece of cross-stitch!

  3. Great progress, and I'm sure took lots of concentration when the stitches are so dark. Looking forward to seeing this grow! Jenny xx

    1. I have my back to a bright window in order to work on this. The rainy days we have been having make working on this difficult.

  4. That looks like a project that needs your undivided attention! I don't really like stitching with white thread but am getting thru it. Not sure I have what it takes to do something this intricate!

  6. That is well done indeed, Cathie. I hope the stitching is a good distraction for you, I pray for the people of New York, glad to know you are safe and well.

  8. Nicely done. I have an HAED pattern that had something like 14 different dark browns in a 100 stitch square. It was, and is, still quite daunting. I stalled at the beginning and ended up going left to right in the pattern so I could get a different colour other than brown.
Keep at it. It will be worth it.

    1. My last Artecy design had some big parts that were all black and brown confetti stitches. This at least is one big swath of black right now.

  12. Great progress! Stitching only black is boring, so I guess you´re happier now :)

  14. You've gotten a good start on the new project. With such tiny stitches, that has to have taken a bit of time to get that far!
