Stitch Along progress

I have been trying to complete one to three 18" lengths of floss each time I work on the Santa stocking. Here is what Santa looked like on my last update.

I finished stitching all of that particular red for the bow and have now added some of the next darker red. This is what Santa looks like now. It is hard to see that there are two different reds in the bow, but believe me there are.

I still don't know whether or not he will be finished for this Christmas, but I am not stressing over it.

Thanks so much to Avis at Sewing Beside the Sea for hosting this Stitch Along every three weeks.

    1. I have a deadline to meet with some secret stitching, so Santa is on the back burner most of the time. Can't worry about it. Thanks for visiting.

  5. He’s looking great! I totally understand about the different thread colors, in the middle of that myself!

  6. He’s coming along very nicely. I am in the middle of one of those thread situations myself, they seem nearly the same, but they do some incredibly subtle shading that way!

  7. He’s looking quite dapper! I feel your pain about close matching thread colors, am in the middle of that myself right now!

  8. I can see the two shades of red! haha, up close I'm sure you think why the color change, but then you step back and see the dimension if offers.

    1. It is not so bad when I am stitching, but I didn't think they showed up very well in the photo.
