I have been busily stitching on Three Boats for the past 3 weeks. Here is where I was then.
I had finally started working with colors other than black. That is a tree trunk that has the color.
I have since mostly finished the tree trunk and I am back to stitching with black floss again.
It will be littered with other colors in between though that I will be adding as I go. I am about halfway done with the first of 24 pages.
A sincere thank you to Avis from Sewing Beside the Sea for hosting this SAL. Please take the time to look at the work of the other bloggers that are participating:

I am sure it will be nice to finish up this dark section and move onto brighter colors. The tree trunk looks great!
ReplyDeleteComing along great .
ReplyDeleteComing along beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast of the blue amongst the black.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of varying colours in the tree trunk. It looks fabulous.

I like your idea of the vertical threads to help with counting... great progress...you are 1/48th of the way there! LOL

Your piece is coming along nicely! I love the different colors of the trunk and the blue peeking out of the black.

I think you're doing the right thing to get the darker bits done first. The tree trunk looks really good with all the extra colours:-)
ReplyDeleteWow! 24 pages? That’s going to be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCathie: Oh my gosh 24 pages, you rock girl.
ReplyDeleteThis i looking like a very beautiful design, you have stitched many crosses.
Have a great week.
Catherine
Great progress!
ReplyDeleteI am assuming this is a HAED design. There is so much work and its often difficult to tell what is happening for quite a while, but your needle must be smoking to have done so much. Great work x
ReplyDeleteThis is an Artecy Design called Three Boats on a Tropical Beach. Similar to HAED in size.
Deletethat is quite the big cross stitch project, but you do such beautiful work and I enjoy watching you do it!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of black! Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine working on a project that's 24 pages -- but you're making good progress (and we'll get to enjoy it for a long time to come!)
ReplyDeleteI bet you'll be glad to be done with the black - when that day eventually gets here!
