Sand

I am working on the sand on Baker Beach. This is the last swath of sand that is a whole lot of confetti stitches. I am sure this will take some time, but as you can see from the pictures below I have already made some progress. This is where I was at the end of last week.
This is where I am now.
I will put some more stitches in this afternoon.

I have been working on my Prairie Schooler Santa a little bit too. I sat on the front porch when my son was visiting and stitched while he edited his thesis.
I will be saving this right now for a long plane ride that I have coming up. It is the only one of my current projects that is small and easily portable. I will give you more info on my trip at a later time.

I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching. On Monday I will join the Stitchery Link Party at Super Mom - No Cape. Pop on over to these sites to see what other bloggers are stitching.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi Cathie! I see your progress...boy this has really been a labor of love But it will be so worth it when you are done. I like your new project as well...I'm in the process of making 10 PS Santas for a dough bowl setting for Christmas. I have 2 down and 8 to go. Do you stitch on the airplane? I didn't think they would let you bring a needle or scissors aboard. I would be thrilled to hear they do now. It sure helps make a long trip go by a lot quicker. RJ @ stitching friends forever

  4. I'm glad I'm not the only one working on a winter themed cross stitch project! Your son must be almost done his thesis and school if he is at the editing stage. All those confetti stitches take a long time but add great texture. Have a relaxing time sewing this afternoon.

It's always good to have a small hand project to work on during long trips.

Thanks so much for linking up to last week's Stitchery Link Party and for the link back. Aloha hugs!
