I know, I know, I have yet to design and stitch a Summer Angel. I have had a huge inspiration block concerning that angel. I have a color scheme determined, but I just haven't been able to figure her out. Seeing all the fall decor in the craft store recently gave me some inspiration for Autumn Angel though. I sat down at my computer on Friday and I was able to design her in just a couple of hours. Oh how I wish it was always that easy.
I have her all kitted up and I am ready to stitch.
I did get some ideas for Summer Angel will designing Autumn Angel, but she is still not completed. I will aim to have her finished for next year.
I recently ordered the fabric I needed to make some Prairie Schooler Santas also. I made one for each of my children last year. I want to do the same this year and maybe one for myself also. I have these two kitted up right now.
I need something small to work on while watching TV.....especially the rest of the Olympics. Baker Beach requires too much concentration and is too big to handle.
I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching. I think you know what I will be working on. Pop on over to her site to see what other bloggers are up to.
Thanks for stopping by!
Love the design of your Autumn Angel, very impressive.
ReplyDeleteShe'll be lovely and maybe bring on some cooler temperatures :) You can work on the summer one when you are getting sick of winter! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny how inspiration comes and goes, and refuses to be rushed!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy stitching through the olympics!
Your Autumn Angel is so cute...and I love Prairie Schooler patterns! Enjoy your stitching!
ReplyDeleteThose look like great upcoming projects for watching television.
ReplyDeleteOh that angel is so cute, I too have the Autumn inspirations taking over, even though the tems are high 90's I still get the Autumn chill in my heart.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your angel stitching while watching the olympics. Maybe the autumn stitching will cool off the weather a bit?
ReplyDeleteNice idea to think of autumn when it's so hot out. And great ideas for starts.
ReplyDeleteOh, I haven't cross stitched in so long. I miss it. The Prairie Schooler Santas are great and very tempting. What a good idea to kit things up and then when the muse strikes, you can just pick it up and create.
ReplyDeleteNice to have a choice when you decide to stitch!
ReplyDeleteYour angel design is precious. Her expression is so gentle!
ReplyDeleteIt's okay that you skipped over summer, I'm a huge fan of fall!! the angel is sweet :)
