That title means I managed to get some stitching done on two different projects. Santa now has part of his scarf and hat.
His face and beard will be completed after his pants and skis because they are lighter colors that I don't want to get dirty. I will finish his hat brim, his scarf and move on to his pants this week. At least that is the plan.
I sat with Baker Beach for at least an hour this week. Here is where I was last week.
I have filled in more sand on the bottom right.
I am hoping to spend some more time in that corner of this project today. I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching and Cath at Bits 'n Bobs. Monday, I will join the Stitchery Link Party at Super Mom - No Cape. Linking with Frontier Dreams also. Pop on over to these sites to see what other bloggers are stitching.
Thanks for stopping by!
Looks like Santa might done in time for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching.
So fun to see what you accomplish each week!!!
ReplyDeleteOhh the Bridge just takes my breath away, all those tiny stitches reveal such a lovely piece. Santa is coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Slow Stitching Sunday, love the progress on your bridge. Santa looks really cute.
ReplyDeleteBaker Beach is a masterpiece and so fun to see your progress. Looks like Santa will be nice and warm when his face appears in the end :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I have not seen the bridge in a few weeks and you have made tons of progress. Looking great.
ReplyDeletethese are both coming along so well--the Bridge has really come alive...and Santa looks like he will be making his appearance soon lol hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteYou go, girl!! I adore the Santa! And how smart to think to wait on stitching the whites for last! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching!
ReplyDeleteSuch a good idea to leave the lighter colours til after the dark - I never would have thought of that but it makes so much sense. Look forward to seeing Santa finished soon :-)
As you're working on counted cross stitching, it doesn't seem like it goes very quickly, but by the same token it doesn't take much time for there to be huge changes. You've accomplished a lot since the last time I checked in with Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching. Your Baker Beach is really looking gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou are working on two fabulous projects Cathie! I love the Santa.... he is looking great! Christine x
ReplyDeleteBoth stitching projects are looking great!
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun to watch your progress! I hope you are able to find some relaxing stitching time this week. :)
ReplyDeleteXS takes a lot of time. I know CQ does, too, but it doesn't seem the same. LOL I love that I can see progress on both of these. Baker Beach is down to the last 24 hours, right? =)
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely projects!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful progress Cathie. I love the way Santa is coming to life, he looks so animated :) I'm still in awe of Baker Beach, as Deb said it's a masterpiece!

ReplyDeleteBarbara xx
Oh what beautiful stitching - that's an amazing view of the bridge and it must be lovely to watch it come together stitch by stitch
ReplyDeleteGood going Cathie! Santa is coming on and that Baker Beach must be a long term project....with so many stitches...and very satisfying to see it grow each time you work on it. Thanks for linking up with Design Board Monday at Bits 'n Bobs..and also for using the button to link back...much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI see progress every time I visit, what a labor of love your big project is and the little one must be fun to see progress quickly!! how is your course coming along? I am trying to knit up three pairs of mitts by next weekend. EEP!
