Oh my gosh, can you believe that it is November already! I really haven't even thought about Christmas gifts yet. I only have a couple of my standards purchased so far. This is not going to be a home-made holiday this year.
I also want to start baking and freezing holiday breads and cookies.
While watching the Mets last night :(, Santa finally got both of his ski poles and his toy sack.
I have to make a trip to ACMoore today to get more red floss. I want to start working on Santa's pants, but I am running low.
I also stitched some more of the sky on Baker Beach this past week. Last week there was just a little bit of extra blue in the upper right-hand corner.
I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching. On Monday, I am linking up with Super Mom - No Cape for the Stitchery Link Party. Pop on over to these sites to see what other bloggers are stitching.
Thanks for stopping by!
Lovely works CathieJ....Santa looks about ready to emerge---I canNOT believe Christmas is around the corner once more....hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is really coming along! I did a Christmas planner this year to help me stay on track. I've done some shopping, some baking, and a lot of pre-holiday cleaning! And I've got all my holiday lists made, too. It's worth it to just do a little bit at a time so I'm not overwhelmed come December 15th (as I'm wont to be)!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Baker Beach! Thanks for you kind comment on my blog, Lakeshore Stitches. Try hard to keep your long term project much shorter than mine. The longer we drag them out, the harder it is to finish. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI was at a mall today and Santa Baby was playing!!! It's a little too early for that yet! Your Santa is coming along...He should be done in time for Christmas. Baker Beach is coming along, inch by inch...
ReplyDeletebeautiful cross-stitch projects, and yes, get the red floss because Christmas is around the corner. I'm stitching the remain Santas from the International serie. Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteI love your header! I really am not in the mood to think about Christmas yet, even though you're right - it's time to start on presents! I want to get in the mood for Thanksgiving first.
ReplyDeleteBaker Beach is looking wonderful.
Santa does need his pants!!! That is very cute and your Baker Beach is growing so nicely.
ReplyDeleteLovely stitcher Is!
ReplyDeleteI decided it probably wouldn't be a handmade Christmas gift year either Cathie - sometimes there's just so much else to do. Also, to be honest I get a bit fed up of spending hours and hours on things I hope other people will like, when I could spend hours and hours making things I know I like!!! Your embroideries are coming along really well - Santa is going to look fantastic when he gets his head, haha! Have a great week Cathie :)
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying seeing your progress on Baker Beach... it is a beautiful scene! Your Santa is looking good too! Christine x
ReplyDeleteI can see the difference! Santa is looking good, too, but I love your gobble gobble as the blog banner.
ReplyDeleteBaker Beach should be done soon! Keep on stitching!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea to have two projects going at the same time that are very different in colour and design!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see your Santa progressing so well, CathieJ. Love your Gobble, gobble banner! And the sky looks good too on Baker Beach!
ReplyDeleteBarbara xx
Your Santa is really coming along. Baker Beach is looking good too. It does feel like the holiday season is rushing towards us.
ReplyDeleteWhen I went to the store the day after Halloween, they were putting Christmas stuff in the section the Halloween things had been in and yesterday, everywhere I went they were selling wreaths and greenery. Now it is definitely too early for that... they'd be looking pretty dried out and careworn by Christmas.
Oh forgot to add... Thanks for linking up to last week's Stitchery Link Party and for the link back. Aloha hugs!
