Sunday Stitching

I haven't worked that much on any stitching this week. I have been enjoying my son and daughter's visit. Alas, my son headed back to California early this morning and my daughter will be on her way back to Connecticut this afternoon. I will be stitching again late this afternoon and maybe this evening.
I did work on the Large Cross-stitch #1 a little bit over the last two weeks.
This is where I was two weeks ago:
This is where I am now.....
I am busy filling in odds and ends of colors. Some of them are only one stitch per color. It is so time consuming that even when I manage a half hour per day, there seems to be very little progress. I am getting there though.

I am joining Kathy for Slow Sunday Stitching. Pop on over to her site to see what other bloggers are stitching.

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Thanks. I totally enjoyed my family time. We won't all be together again until either Thanksgiving or Christmas.

  2. It would take me longer to thread the needle than to make the one stitch. You have the patience of a saint but look how lovely it is :) Have a great day; you'll miss those kids though :(

    1. It often takes me longer to thread the needle than to complete the stitches. I hate 50+ year old eyes. I put some music on and just sit, listen and stitch.

  3. I can definitely see the progress on your stitching, even if it does seem slow... we like slow!

  6. Okay, I was once an avid cross stitcher and LOVE this piece you are working on... I got a piece of similar color changing and have been stumped.. do the threads you baste help you keep track... can you explain those threads you put in your stitchery pls? I am completely self taught as no one else was crafty like that in my family. Thanks for linking to Kathy's so I could see your amazing work... and GREAT progress :) Kathi

  9. The color work (although tedious) is so beautiful....It looks like a watercolor. Definitely worth the effort!

  10. Gorgeous. That's why I like taking a lot of WIP photos. You can see how much progress you've really made even though it doesn't feel like it.
