Scuplture garden

When our son was visiting this past weekend, we were looking for something different to do. Someone on the Facebook page Hike It Baby Long Island recommended the Nassau County Museum of Art grounds in Roslyn, NY. We were looking for something outside and there are hiking trails and sculpture gardens all for free. What a score! The hiking trails weren't difficult, but they weren't flat either like most of Long Island. I didn't take any photos of the trails, but I did take some of the various sculptures.

The sculpture above was made with stacked bluestone.

There were several more sculptures, but these were the ones that I found interesting.

I have added some stitches to October Morning.

The road to the church is completed now.

I stopped reading the "Vanishing Half". I just could not get into this book. I never really looked forward to reading it. I have changed to "The Grace Kelly Dress" by Brenda Janowitz.

I wasn't sure about this book either at first, but I have found that I am quite enjoying it.

I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching. Pop on over to her site to see what other bloggers are stitching. Since I spent Saturday washing my living room windows as well as changing the curtains, I think I will sit with my stitching for a spell today. I will probably work on Three Boats.

Thanks for stopping by!
