Slow Stitching and Bitter Cold

We have a high of 32 degrees F expected today. It was colder yesterday. I woke up to 16 degrees F. Brrr! I have to go food shopping today and pay a visit to my mom, but other than that I will be hibernating. 
That is what I did yesterday also. We had a little bit of snow on Friday. This is my back deck...
 and my back yard.
You can see from what is left on the railing that we only had a couple of inches. Since we had 60 degree weather the day before this snow, the sidewalks and streets stayed clear. That is not supposed to happen this coming week though. We are having a deep freeze on this weekend, so the huge snowstorm that is expected Monday night into Tuesday will definitely stick to the roads. I may actually have a snow day this week. You know that I will enjoy a full day of crafting if I am home. Although I will probably have to shovel some snow also.

This weekend's bitter cold with a strong wind is perfect for finishing my shawl and working on Baker Beach. This was where I left off last week.
I added some more grey stitches yesterday:

    We had a bit of snow overnight too. I guess I need to keep my boots out a bit longer. Spring is coming.... have fun stitching today while enjoying a hot beverage!

    Baker Beach is really filling out, the snow looks wonderful from where I am sitting, I wouldn't mind a little snow but I don't think the rest of Florida would appreciate it.

    So sorry to hear that winter is still hanging on. We've had some warm temps this past week although I prefer cooler weather. I love seeing Baker Beach. It looks like a painting and to think it's all made with individual stitches. Amazing! My best to you, Pat

    Beautiful progress on Bakers Beach.
    I have a feeling this upcoming blizzard is going to to allow some of us a much appreciated snow day. Although it does come with a price - shoveling.

    I'm enjoying winter's last hurrah. It's beautiful and serene. However I was just getting used to spring arriving...oh well. Lovely wintry photos and your big big project is coming along nicely!

    I would give anything to be in warm weather, we had five inches of snow yesterday and the roads are so slippery.
    You have made great progress on your Baker Beach.

    I like a bit of hibernation too! Is that the very last corner of Baker Beach? You are closing in on a finish if it is.
