Family time

I knew it would happen. Ten days of family time meant very little crafting time. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Hubby and I had our son and daughter (and for part of the time our son's girlfriend) together in our home for seven days!
We went to the Long Island vineyards, the outlets, the beach, played mini-golf and UNO. We cooked, ate out, had ice cream, doughnuts and home made desserts. We visited with the grand-parents. Whew!

Now the house is quiet again and we start looking forward to the holidays when we will see our kids once again.
I start teaching my college math classes on Wednesday. I should have a little more free time than last year as I don't have a full-time position. I will have time to craft, I hope.
I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching today and Super Mom - No Cape for the Stitchery Link Party on Monday. I will be working on my Prairie Schooler Santa.
He is close to being finished. Maybe I will be sharing a finish next week. Then I have to figure out how I want to complete it...little pillow, ornament? I don't know yet.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Sounds wonderful all the family together, enjoying each others company. Doesn't get any better than that.

  5. Hello Cathie! I am like you and at the moment have all my 'children' home from university... the house has been full and it has been fun but not much time for stitching! Your Santa is looking lovely... hope you get him finished off soon! Christine x

  7. I am so very happy for you that your family was with you! I bet now that the house is quiet (and cleaned) it feels weird but a good weird. That is how I feel when mine leave. I love when they come home!! But I love the quiet when they leave. I hope your class went well :)

  9. Family time is always busy time but it sounds like you had fun. You really are close to finishing the Santa and that always brings a sense of accomplishment.

Thanks so much for linking up to last week's Stitchery Link Party and for linking back. Aloha hugs!
