What a show!

Hubby and I went to dinner followed by a show Thursday night at a local theater. We saw “Come From Away”.

Oh my goodness what a powerful show this is to see. We both left the theater feeling joyful, sad and uplifted. I highly recommend everyone seeing this musical if you can.

Now to mundane subjects. The Christmas tree on my granddaughter’s stocking has some ornaments now.

I’ve spent some time using my PCStitch program and I think I’ve figured out the little girl’s hair. I don’t know whether or not I want to do a sample stitch to see how it looks and tweak where necessary. Maybe. I am a floss miser even though it is fairly cheap.

The block part of Having a Ball is now 2/3 quilted.

The granny square baby blanket has 7 of 17 rows completed. I like the way it looks.

No baking was done this week. I need to concentrate on losing weight to help my back. The first epidural didn’t work. I have the second scheduled for Monday.

I am joining Frederique at the Quilting Patch today and Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching tomorrow. I hope you take some time to relax with some tea or coffee and pop on over to their sites to see what other bloggers are stitching.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. We saw Come From Away twice! Once in Toronto and once on Broadway. Fantastic show. Very moving.
Your hand quilting project is looking fabulous. How are you going to quilt the background? I started hand quilting my pineapple log cabin this week.
Sounds like you have a plan for the little girl’s hair…love how the sticking is coming along.
Take care …hope your leg is healing well. Gail at the cozy quilter.

  2. Before I forget,I love that header cat! I'm curious to see how there are still productions of Come From Away. I was born in Gander, Nl and was living in Newfoundland when 9/11 happened. I should speak of it sometime on my blog. I saw a production too here in Ottawa. I'm proud of how we stepped up during that awful time, and it wasn't just in Gander, btw, and it's wonderful to be reminded there are still good people in the world. Meanwhile, wonderful crochet there Cathie; I love those blocks too. And your quilting lines and of course, the cross stitching...I am floss miser too.

  3. Beautiful work. The blanket looks like gems all lined up.
I’m just about finished with my grandsons Christmas stocking. Thanks for giving me the website. I started last February.
