I was really hoping to have finished this page of Three Boats on a Tropical Beach by the end of July, but it was not to be. This is where I was for the last update, three weeks ago.
Here is where I am now. I have filled in some sand below the third boat. There is a lot more sand to stitch.
Our granddaughter will be visiting all this week and we will be traveling to CA sometime this month so I don't expect to finish this page any time soon. I am now hoping it is done by the end of the year since I am also trying to finish a full cover Christmas stocking for this year's holiday. You can see an update on that project here.
This Stitch Along is hosted every three weeks by Avis at Sewing Beside the Sea who kindly sends us the needed posting reminders.
Grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea and take some time to visit the other bloggers below who are part of this stitch-along. There is a wide variety of stitching projects. These talented stitchers are from all over the world, so please allow for the time differences and check back for each post.

Slow and steady progress! Sometimes, other priorities come along, like a Christmas stocking for your grand-daughter… Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteThat really is a lot of stitching. More than people think! It is a beautiful piece. Enjoy your granddaughter and CA!
ReplyDeleteYes, that small space is a whole lot of stitching.
DeleteThat’s still a good amount of progress. You’ll get back to this at some point. I think the stocking is likely more important!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, my progress on the stocking seems slower than that on Three Boats.
DeleteGreetings Cathie: How lucky you are to have grandchildren, I hope your week is filled with loads of fun. A little stitching is better than no stitching.

ReplyDeleteA large stitching works takes a long time.

This was always going to be a long term project. Just enjoy the process :-)
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying the process. I just don't want to bore anyone with the continuous updates.
Deleteit will get done when it gets done. My grands are here frequently and everything goes out the window! I love them and love being with them. They are only little once.
ReplyDeleteyou're making brilliant progress with this project. Enjoy family time!
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteThose are interesting shades you are working with there in that section, Cathie. Life gets in the way of stitching sometimes, :) How wonderful to have the granddaughter for some time.
