I used some Christmas gift money to buy myself some goodies.
I bought some supplies from 123Stitch. I got myself the hook and loop tape needed to attach my Aida cloth to my lap stand. I needed it to finally start this large piece beachy scene I am calling "Three Boats" for my daughter and her husband. I also bought the stocking you see above to make a stocking for my son-in-law as the rest of us all have stockings made by me.
I purchase this blue even-weave fabric so that I can make this pretty pattern sometime soon. I don't know whether this will be for me or my daughter. She loves snow globes.
I have been spending a few minutes each day working on "Jingle as ye enter, Jingle as ye go". This is where I was on the last update.
I have made a lot of progress on the words. The "Jingle" that I have completed is actually one stitch too far to the left, but I am not going to move it. I will adjust the ribbon above it as I stitch it and no one will know. It doesn't bother me, because this is a fairly free-form design anyway.
It is a snowing here today on the first day of a three day weekend and I am taking advantage of staying inside by getting some baking done.
First I made a favorite granola.
Then I made some blueberry muffins to share with my mom and MIL. They both like these particular muffins the best of those that I make. I always make sure I have some blueberries in the freezer so I can make these any time.
I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching. Pop on over to her site to see what other bloggers are stitching. I will be getting "Three Boats" set up on the frame and do a little more stitching on "Jingle".
Thanks for stopping by!

YUMMM Muffins! and your embroidery projects all look fun. Here's to a wonderful winter stitch day!
ReplyDeleteI haven't made muffins in forever! I am trying so hard right now to bake - I make way too much at the holidays for the two of us and still trying to get the weight back to what is normal for me before I try to loose a couple more!!
ReplyDeleteGreat embroidery projects! I love to make granola, and am thinking I need to make some muffins soon!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to spend gift money on craft supplies that bring us such great joy! Looks like a lot of fun stitching in your future and those muffins look really good!
ReplyDeleteFun stash haul. Some lovely projects. Glad to have found your blog. x

ReplyDeleteLove the snow globe my daughter brought me one for Christmas.
I love blue berry muffins so yummy.
Enjoy your week.
You did indeed buy some gorgeous pretties with your Christmas money. Love the snow globe and as for the J in Jingle....honestly didn't notice the little glitch at all.
ReplyDeleteYeah! Christmas goodies!!! I love stitching kits. :) Happy stitching.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteI love the projects you have chosen next to work. The beach scene looks so relaxing - I love stitching pieces like that! Your Jingle stitchery is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe beach scene will be relaxing, but it is going to take a couple of years to complete as it is more than 15 pages long.
DeleteYour stitchery is coming along nicely...it's so pretty! Those muffins look delicious!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSome lovely projects to look forward to starting! Only problem which to start first? 😁
ReplyDeleteI am going to start the beach scene first as it will take a few years. One of the others will be started once Jingle is finished.
DeleteTreats are always sweet! Love that Snow Globe design! And now, you have me wanting to bake blueberry muffins! lol!
ReplyDeleteshopping for myself is always a joy, glad you had fun shopping for you :) Now I want some muffins!
ReplyDeleteCathie: You have been busy stitching and baking, the muffins look so yummy and homemade granola bars are the best.
