I was able to get a bunch of stitching completed on my four-day weekend last week. I have to stitch the ghosts and the back-stitching and of course complete the finishing. The ghost right above the pumpkin is started, but difficult to see in this picture.
I am hoping to finish the ghosts today and maybe start the back-stitching. I would like to complete the finishing on Wednesday when I have another day off for Yom Kippur.
I am so glad that I decided to finally stitch something for Halloween.
I have been adding a few rows here and there on my sweater. The color is off in this picture. It is really a dark maroon.
I really like the pattern. I am a little worried about the sizing. I seem to be okay width-wise, but I have too many rows for the gauge. I am hoping that I will be able to adjust when the pattern gives you inches for length. Otherwise, I may have to visit my yarn shop for advice. I am hesitant to do so as I didn't purchase this yarn at the shop. I am using yarn from ACMoore.
I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching. Pop on over to her site to see what other bloggers are stitching.

ReplyDeleteYour Halloween stitchery is so cute! And your knitting is really pretty. I hope you can make it work for you!
ReplyDeleteyeh, I use ecru when I stitch on white adia and it calls for white. It is hard to see but I love your stitching and the sweater colour. hugs
ReplyDeleteYour Halloween x stitch is progressing well. And your knitting looks good, it is a really nice pattern. I hope you can work out the sizing ok.
ReplyDeleteThe ghosts in the graph sure are cute. They'll add lots to your project. Your knit stitches are something I strive for.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathie: That Halloween design is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThe color of the yarn is lovely, I am not a knitter but feel if the shop is a respectable shop they will help you without comment.
I look forward to seeing it finished.
Catherine
So sweet. I had to smile about your comment that 'the ghost is difficult to see...'; they usually are :).
ReplyDeletelovely stitching and the knitting is beautiful. A 'good' yarn shop will help you with your questions because you could be a future purchaser of wool in their store. Don't be afraid to ask.
