Sun during the week, rain on the weekend

So here it is the weekend and it is cold, cloudy and drizzly. It doesn't feel like Spring. No sitting on the front porch sipping coffee or wine depending on the time of day. No planting flowers in the sunshine. The sun and warm weather occurred during the week when I was working. Really? I was so looking forward to enjoying some time outdoors. Not Hubby though, his allergies are having a field day with him.
I also need to start my spring window washing. Oh well, maybe I will at least go shopping for some new curtains for my living room. We bought a new couch last summer, but my plaid summer curtains clash with the leaf design on the couch. After 14 years, I can't complain that I need to buy new. So other than sitting and crafting which is not a bad way to spend my time off, I think I will go shopping.

I have made progress on Baker Beach this week, but nothing else. Here is where I was last week.
Here is where I am now. There is a bunch of cream and white that is somewhat different to see, but I am enjoying the change to blues and creams from browns and oranges.

I also put a few more stitches in my Family Rose quilt. I have finished all of the cross-hatching in one direction.
Now I have to head the other way.
Bunny visited our deck early yesterday morning. He/she got real close to the house so I got a good picture.
Then a different bunny, I believe, decided to sprawl out on the grass.
 Aren't they cute?

I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching today. Tomorrow I will join the Stitchery Link Party. Pop on over to these sites to see what other bloggers are stitching.

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. We have bunnies in our yard too. We have had lots of rain but the sun is finally shining today. The ground is too wet for any outside work. I hope to do some stitching later today. You got lots of stitching done this week!

  5. Lots of beautiful stitching going on at your house, Hope the weather clears soon, we are having a bit of a cool snap here in Florida, after weeks of 90 we dropped to the 70's and happily enough my cold is over so I hope to take in a little sunshine today.

  7. Baker Beach is coming along nicely.

We should be neighbors...warm sunshine when I am working; rain when I am not. Ha, ha! And my hubby is suffering from allergies, too.

The bunnies are cute for sure, but are they wreaking havoc with your garden? I have wild turkeys in my garden. They make a mess, but they eat the bugs, so I don't mind (except when they dig holes).

  9. You have made so much progress on Baker Beach! It looks great.

The bunnies are adorable. I hope the rain knocks some of the pollen out of the air for your husband and that you are both able to enjoy some nice weather soon.

  14. Great progress, I am loving the quilt. Hope you had a good time shopping and managed to get what you were looking for. I have just finished making some new curtains and accessories for the lounge as I couldn't find what I was looking for.

  16. We have a pet bunny at our house who looks exactly like the wild bunnies outside (I worry if she got out it would be hard to tell her apart). Sorry warmer temperatures haven't arrived in your neck of the woods yet. I love stitching outside, and it is almost to hot where I am (AZ) to do it anymore.

  17. Frodo would go bonkers if a bunny laid like that where he could see him. My allergies are not the best these days! Ugh. Lovely stitching (hope you mom is better).

  18. Seems like it always rained on my days off too. Love the Baker Beach.

I'd say those bunnies are making themselves quite at home there.

  19. Bunnies are cute! I can imagine it feels good to your eyes to be focusing on a different color for a while! It looks to me like you are almost at the end of the piece!

  20. That Spring Angel in your banner makes me smile!

You've made some nice progress on Baker's Beach and I can see how it would be nice to switch to different colors.

Your Family Rose quilt is so pretty!

I need to work on curtains for our living too. We replaced our couch last spring and I've had the fabric since last summer but it's such a large window, I haven't been able to figure out what to use for a rod. So curtains are on my to-do list too.

Thanks so much for linking up to last week's Stitchery Link Party and for the link back. Aloha hugs!
