I am so deep into planning and teaching for Finite Mathematics right now that I just have had hardly any time to stitch. Sigh....
I managed to find an hour on Saturday before we traveled into NYC to sit with Baker Beach. The last time I posted on it, two weeks ago, this is where I was.
This is where I am now.
You can see some more of the beach and water and, if you look real hard at the upper right corner, you will see that I just had to start on the next page. There is a little more blue sky up there. I got tired of all the little fiddly stitching bits and just needed to have a go at a swath of a single color.
I hope I will have more crafting time this week. It seems I say that every week.
I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching today. I think I will work on my Prairie Schooler Santa while watching the Mets tonight. On Monday, I will join the Stitchery Link Party at Super Mom - No Cape. Pop on over to these sites to see what other bloggers are stitching.

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your stitching while you watch the Mets!
ReplyDeleteFinding stitching time has been tricky here, too. I get grumpy without a little bit of "me" time. It sounds like we will both enjoy some stitching time tonight. :) Happy stitching! Baker's Beach is looking great. The progress on both pages is easy to see! I love the detail "confetti" sections add, but it is nice to have some blocks of color to speed things up a bit. It looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteGreat stitching! May you have more stitchy time soon.
ReplyDeleteThose colour changes and all the counting take a long time in the detailed sections. Just 2 more pages to go???
ReplyDeleteI love watching it grow like that. It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteIt certainly is growing despite the lack of stitching time, you really are doing so well. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm glad I am taking pictures or else I don't think I would see the progress.
DeleteIt's progressing nicely! Hopefully you will soon find more time for stitching. Finite Mathematics sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteMan -- you are really making incredible progress on this piece! It's going to be spectacular! :)
ReplyDeleteKeep at it Cathie, every little stitch is a stitch in the right direction! It's looking really lovely and will be stunning when you reach the finish line. Love your October header image too - really made me smile!
ReplyDeleteA little stitching is better then no stitching.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Catherine
Stick with it Cathie, it looks great, I've just googled the pattern and I am in awe of you stitching this! It's stunning, but 63 floss colours!!!That takes a lot of patience, my sampler is zipping along because I've only got 7 colours :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope this week gives you more stitching time :)
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching, Cathie, such patience.... so many colours! My cross stitch has stopped altogether at the moment, crewel work has taken over, but I hope to get back to my "Cocoa" sampler soon. I hope you manage to find some stitching time this week.

Yay! I can leave a comment! =) I love your Scary pillow banner. So cute, and I presume you stitched it.
ReplyDeleteWow -I can't wait to see the finished project and I must say your skills and commitment are amazing! Thansk for sharing this....
