Summer growing

My Summer of Love piece is growing. You might be able to see what I have planned for the rest of it.
The tracings are faint and the fabric is wrinkled, but the word LOVE will be on the upper right and COEXIST will be around the bottom.

We had our first harvest this summer. Some small orange tomatoes.
Our two plants have lots more that will be ripening soon.

This little robin is growing up quickly. He and his two siblings have been making a lot of noise in a nest along our fence.
Hubby and I think he may have made his first flight to our deck railing. You can see that he still has some of his downy baby feathers.
He stayed there for several minutes and had a little trouble returning to the top of the fence.

I am joining Kathy for some Slow Sunday Stitching. I will be trying to finish my Summer of Love Piece. On Monday, I will join the Stitchery Link Party at Super Mom - No Cape. Pop on over to these sites to see what other bloggers are stitching.

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. The Summer of Love piece reminds me of something I had during that time period. I did a lot of embroidery then.

  8. Your summer of love piece is coming along so nicely.

That wee robin looks so lonely. I hope he was able to find his way back to his parents.

  13. We have had robin's nests in our backyard too. One year, they made a nest on the laundry room window sill and we watched the nest building, egg laying and hatching and growth of the babies. Very fun. Loving the Summer of Love project! The colours, words and design are perfect!
