Spring blooms

My azaleas are all in bloom!
This one is hidden behind our pool.
These are under my Kousa dogwood near the birdbath and feeder.
There is also a rhododendron that is just starting to bloom.
These hanging baskets were a Mother's Day gift from my husband.
I hope to get some time today to sit on my back deck, enjoy my flowers and complete some stitching. I have been working on Baker Beach a little bit this week. Here it is last week.
This is where I am as of yesterday.
I hope to finish that brown-grey color that I am currently working on today. I might even be able to stitch those wires today also.
I am joining Kathy today for some Slow Sunday Stitching. I am also joining the Stitchery Link Party. Pop on over to these sites to see what other bloggers are stitching.

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. I grew up with azaleas and insisted on them when we landscaped our back yard even though I was told they were out of style. Of course that was 20 years ago. I guess I am still old-fashioned.

    1. Hubby buys me hanging baskets every Mother's Day. The perfect gift because I have them all summer.

  11. Our azaleas were budding when we left. I'm sure that they're done blooming by now. :-(

As a former counted cross stitcher, I must ask: what purpose do those busting stitches serve? I never basted any of my work (I was self taught, so maybe I should have basted?).

  18. Your CS is fantastic! I have never seen such an involved piece being worked before. Love the azaleas etc too. We are heading into winter hear so it is nearly time to prune and cut everything back.

  19. our azaleas are blooming but not vibrantly as before, I'm going to blame the harsh winter. Lovely lovely photos! And I see more progress on the picture you are stitching.
