A finish!

I have finished "Over the river and through the woods". I knew that all I had to do was put my mind to it and it would be done in no time and now it is.

Of course it will need to be framed but December is still a ways away so I have time.
I haven't done any other cross-stitching this week. I am looking forward to getting back to the other two WIPs.

I spent some time on my front porch yesterday hand-quilting my daughter's Peanuts's Christmas quilt. Since I gave her the quilt top for Christmas 2012 it would be nice to have the quilt totally finished for this holiday season.

This is my next WIP that I am planning on finishing. I keep putting off starting another quilt project because this one isn't finished.
I am joining Kathy today for some Slow Sunday Stitching. Pop on over to her site see what other bloggers are stitching.

My astilbe, clematis and lilles are in bloom!

I just love no fuss flowers.
Hubby and I went back to the beach again last night. It is only about 15 minutes from home so it is nice to walk the boardwalk at night.
We found a walkway down to the water last night and got some ocean pictures.
The sky was just beautiful.

This was about 8 pm. Still light out on the first night of summer.
Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Oh well done Cathie - it's so pretty and neat! I love your sky shots - such a nice time of day - and all the best with your hand-quilting, your daughter will be very happy and you will be happy too when it's no longer a WIP. I'm also loving your 'astilbe' - such a sweet baby pink - I don't think I know the plant but am very attracted to it. xoJoy

  5. It's good to get those Christmas projects done early...if you don't start now, it might not get done! I have not thought about Christmas gifts yet. I have a few UFO's to finish off first. I love your little cross stitch!

  7. Your cross stitch is so pretty! The sunset at the beach is gorgeous. I miss having a boardwalk at the beach - we don't have many here. I remember walking at Sunken Meadow with my grandparents when I was little.

  9. Beautiful flowers... I miss my astibe's but I don't think they would like the intense heat down here in Florida. Beautiful finish on your stitchery. Love the header.
